They have MP's posted to keep everyone from going to town but no one is afraid of the MP's but only that they may miss the regiment, in case it would move and be several miles away. Today was Griffin's birthday. I don't know how old he was. We put up the two big tents and that ought to prevent a rain - if we put them up it doesn't rain but if we don't it rains. Nothing much to write about today. The war seems to be going in our favor, but don't get any official dope - only newspaper and radio news. Hope things are going OK there. Love John N.
