Saving...
to the Soldier's Information center and they gave us the names of three or four women who would wash. We went to one of them and she was sitting on the front porch rocking a baby and she said she would do it. Would have it done in a day. Hope it will be OK. Rather bad about Mary G. Maybe she'll wake up before it is too late. I surely hope Glen can make a go of the bowling alley. So you look pretty slick with your hair in a French braid, do you? That's nice. Pretty nice of Cosgrove Walsh's friends to take him on the cabin party, wasn't it? I am returning to the [Berndoll?] check for .75. Use it to pay some of the bills, like lights of the telephone & save expense of collecting. You will have to endorse it. So glad you got a new toaster and that it is a good one. You'll probably get a lot of good out of it. Nothing much new here, we are in [limovac?] until Monday probably. Love & kisses John N. P.S. I am enclosing an old letter from Aunt Gertrude you may enjoy JN
