Saving...
They are leaving for rations early and will try and get this letter off. Well, we had to move headquarters and as it was looking rainy we had to hurry and didn't get the letter done. I put the letter in my shirt pocket and as you can see, it kinda got sweated up some. Well - this is Sunday PM. I surely feel worthless. I shaved and washed up and we didn't eat until 9:00. Then worked at Hq for a while. Then the Corps Surgeon (Colonel Guthrie) came and there was a lengthy conference. After it was over Major Sedlucek took his Jeep and some of us to the Field shower. Then Mickey McCall and I took our dirty clothes over to a house and asked the lady if she would do some laundry. She said she didn't work on Sunday but that she worked tomorrow. She thought she could have it done by 2:00 PM. So I left it. 4 shirts - 2 pants - 4 drawers - 1 undershirt - 2 hdkchfs - 1 wash cloth. 75¢ The old lady was about 60-65 and she was chewing tobacco. I hope she does a good job. We have had a band concert this afternoon. We had fried chicken for dinner - very good. Mashed potatoes - diced carrots and peas.
