Saving...
2-15-43 Dearest Dorothea: I'm so glad the kids had such a big Valentine Day time. I got your box and thanks a lot. It was surely swell. Ted took me out to meet his wife and children and they are very nice. She has just recovered from chicken pox. He has a little girl 4 and a little boy 2. Both are very husky and certainly live wires. She served a beef boullion made from cubes and it was very good. You ought to try it. She says it is very easy to make. Also had cheese sandwiches toasted and then chocolate pudding and cookies. Their apartment isn't so sumptious but they are very happy to be here with him. I went to the Episcopal Church Sunday with Capt Jennifer from Baltimore. Enclosed is a program. School hasn't been hard in the sense of being difficult, but they are throwing lots of reading at us which it is hard to get in and done. No idea where I may go when through. Must close. Will write more later. Love Daddy
