Your mother is much better but don't look so well yet.  She had quiet a time.  I think she just had the old fashioned flu.  I don't know what I would do without her.  I have been doing up the work in the morning & working in the shop in afternoon.  She manages to get the children something to eat & wash the dishes.  Do you think that is too much for her?  I sure don't want her to get down again.  
So sorry we won't be able to see you on the way to Michigan, but understand how it is.  Won't they give you a leave when you are through school?  Mrs Wright though Raymond would get a leave.  Is it your idea that you will be given your Captaincy when you finish?
Glad you are over your cold.  I think you had better just forget about the old car and take the train to Michigan.  It too much of a risk to drive it, in such cold weather.  Maybe some of the boys down there will buy it from you. 
Kathryn Mercer was just here and took Carol up to see the babies.  They are so busy here they have beds in the halls and everywhere.  Well I can get in to see Ruth now, so will close and mail this on the way home.  Sure miss you today daddy Loads of Hugs & Kisses Your Sweetie Mommie & Kiddies
