Sunday PM Feb 23/41. Dear Dorothea & all: Well, we are on our way south for the winter. And it looks like more winter here than in Iowa. We had turkey for dinner with gravy, potato salad, coffee, ice cream, apples for dinner. As you can see, I am trying to write this on the train and the train is on the move. It is very nice riding train but even so it still sways some and hard to write as good. Also, in my bunk and cant sit up. I'm so glad you were able to come to Cedar Rapids to see us leave. I know you felt better than if you had to start out without seeing us take the train. Did you get home OK? It was very nice that Mary went home with you for I felt rather worried about you going home alone. The boys are reading, writing, sleeping singing, talking, playing penny ante & looking out the window. We have Pullman accomodations
