Saving...
Feb 8, 1943 Dear Honey Chile: How's that? That's what one of the newly married fellows at Camp F. used to call his wife. And I guess she must have liked it. Thanks a lot for the razer sharpener and the slacks. They got here this morning and in time for use at gym this P.M. This is the first day I really had to have them. I am very happy to learn of Dorothy being better but sorry to learn she will still have to stay in the hospital for another 10 days. I'm afraid for your Dad to get down, too, although he is pretty strong from his usual daily labors. He ought to take more care of his health and Don ought to realize his Dad isn't young anymore and see that he doesn't work so hard. You might speak to Don about it. It would be nice if you got up to see them. Also to take Clarence and Ila Gilbert with you. Poor Glad! She surely has plenty of worries, doesn't she? So old Carolly Ann wishes her Pappy was home to stay, huh? Mighty sweet of her, wasn't it? Tell the kids "thanks a lot" for the little candy hearts. They tasted swell.
