rose taupe carpet on the floor. Have monk's cloth curtains on the windows on draw strings. Bath & toilet on second floor. We are on 1st floor and have a nice 5 window alcove southern exposure. We eat at the Lawyer's Club - a truly beautiful building- and it costs us $4.75 a week for our room and $8.00 a week for our meals - which does not include breakfast (which we pay for as we get- nor Sunday night meal. The breakfast and dinner meals are cafeteria and supper is served to us. We wear dress up for supper but work clothes for rest of day. School doesn't start until Monday. There are 8 of us here early. No one knows why. To keep us busy we do some close order (foot) drill and read Court Martial cases for review and then do some gym training. The buildings are beautiful and you must see them while I am here. I drove the old wreck up to the side entrance after supper and unloaded - then straightened out the room. Finally got everything OK. Please send me one pair of kahki cotton pants & my razer blade sharpener RIGHT AWAY so I can have them by Monday, if possible. Enclosed find check for 221.28, which please deposit & use as needed. Send me check for $65.00 to Bankers Life Co. Don't pay the taxes until later. I haven't recieved other checks you spoke of as of yet. Love & kisses to all Daddy. Glad you won the tickets to the show. It is a good one. Glad Ruth is better. Think it was her teeth. Too bad about rent, but can't help it now. Take care of your leg.
