furniture. I told him I would write to you and see. I really need the one here in the house, to keep all of your things in it. He is going to call back in about a week, in case he doesn't find something. Mr. Jackson also called today and said he was some keys short. Does Max have some do you suppose? I called out there tonite and he wasn't home. Looks like he would turn them in, I turned the ones I had in a long time ago. I have looked in the desk and don't find any. Enclosed are the two May [Jag?] checks. They will help out won't they? I have had a very busy day and are pretty tired tonite. The kids took May baskets this morning around the neighborhood and then we took some [illegible] to Helen, Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. [Hurst?]. They were real pleased an wanted me to be sure and send their regards to you. Mrs. Phillips said she had wished for you to be home to take care of some business for her a good many times. They were feeling better, but still pretty sad. John R is going out to [friends?] in the morning. He was to go tonight but in his excitement they forgot him. She said they wanted to get him! He was rather disappointed. He had his things all packed. I enjoyed reading your radio skit. I think it was fine. I only wish I could have heard you. The men got [about?] [holy?] the [God
