My dear Bess - Your letter received today, and as I'm alone this evening I'll answer it. Thank you very much for your appreciation of my letter to you. I thot that it was rather a poor letter, and I was tempted not to send it. That is always the way - people seem to have a better opinion of what I do, than I do myself. We are having the loveliest weather, I can scarcely make myself believe that it is Jan. The roads are hoarible, but will be good if the sun keeps on shining every day. Now lets see, what can I tell you? No parties, no shows, no movies,
