Witchita Falls Texas Dear Dad & mother: Our nice weather caught cold and it stormed all day yesterday and was cold, but today the sun shone and the snow all melted and it's spring again. Its hard to realize the size of this place everywhere you look are lines of barracks. now recruits are coming in everyday 300 from California today. We have been going to lectures and have been drilled in simple marching etc. We get up at 5 A.M. then answer roll call at 5.15 then return and make our beds, shine shoes, shave etc. til 6:30 when we go to breakfast. After breakfast we do calisthenics until 8:00 when we go to class where we are lectured & drilled until 11:00 then we go to dinner & are off till 1:00 when we go back to class. At 3:00 P.M. we quit and have 1 hrs recreation & then we are free till supper and then we are off duty. Lights are out at 9:30. We can't leave camp to go to town or even leave the block in which we live. Can't go to the show or post exchange until we're been here for 2 weeks. Went to a show put on by the
