Saving...
We are having a siege of conflicting rumors around here. One says we will be here for seven months more, another says at least a month, another says we leave quite soon. So a fellow can believe whatever he likes. I doubt if we ever see Sioux City but we will probably go a ways back east. Maybe about a thousand miles from home if we do and I can get a furlough I'll be home for a while. I'm not planning on it tho. This afternoon the boys in the sheet metal tent were cutting out stencils so I had them make one with Iowa on it and they painted it on the back of my [illegible] three other Iowa fellows did to so we are getting lots of razzing about our state but we're strong for it. Several other states are represented all ready this so it wasn't a bad idea. I want to see the show tonight dont think it will be good "Some Affairs of Edgar Allen Poe." but it passes the evening for 15¢ you can't go far wrong. Love Johnny
