June 22 Dear Dad & Mom: Just time for a note before I go to school. It rained frightfully hard here last night * the wind blew. Had dinner yesterday with some friends of a fellow in my barracks. Chicken & all the trimmings. In the afternoon we went for a ride with some people. The church sponsors this Sunday aft rides. Went to hear a presentation of Elijah I'm afraid I didn't enjoy it much. Got letters from Uncles R.M & R.J. Pleff, Florence Kent & the Reagans today. That's the way it works you'll go for days with none and then you get a bunch. I surely like to hear from folks. Saw "Reap the Wild Wind" yesterday it's a grand show. Lots of actions & filmed in technicolor. I just don't find time to see anything at the post theaters and they are much cheaper. Well it's summer now hope it warms up in Iowa and makes everything grow. Altho reports I hear everything seems to be
