New Hartford 1865 Tues. 25 April I plowed all day where the old log house was. The frogs are croaking today. Wed. 26 Finished plowing around the log house and on acre this side Thur. 27 Abe Lincoln's funeral sermon preached by Eld Faucett school house was more than full H. Hammon and I went to Mr. Boyrie's Friday 28 Plowed 1/2 acre, it commenced raining, wrote letter to Wells & Ed, went to Esthers after Hannah Sat. 29 Took Hannah to Butler Centre to get a certificate. Lodge in evening election.
