Memphis Tuesday, June 14, 1864 Re'cd pass to Memphis with E. Wright, had my Photograph taken $3.00 per 1/2 Doz. to be finished to morrow morning Visited Washington Hospital saw A. Bookman, J. [illegible] Ackerson and E. Morse Re'cd ticket at 10 o'clock A.M. Returned to camp at 1 o'clock and [Will?] Dunning visited us of Co. E Wednesday 15 Called in line at 2 o'clock A.M. where we stayed till Roll call. we were at order to load our guns & for the 1st time C. A. Harmon sick. we removed our tents and spliced on to E. Foster's & A. [Parthermes?] on Extra duty 4 hours which excuses me for to morrow. Helped [illegible] Thursday 16 Sent to Memphis By [illegible] Morgan for my 1/2 doz. Photographs {illegible] myself Visited the camp of 32 Regt. some 2 1/2 miles S. W. they were [illegible] to march with 3 ds. rations returned at [illegible]. 44th out on battallion drill 1st time commenced storming when [illegible] brought The next 4 words are from bottom of next page {to meeting in evening} 1/2 doz photographs from memphis
