New Hartford Dec 1865 Fri. 29 Mr & Mrs. Townsend returned from Vermont last night. Saw Mrs. Ackerman about Title got some things from Ed at Bargain. Livingston shod sled & commenced {illegible} at home [learning?] {illegible} Sat. Dec. 30 Went to Sherwoods for rent money. He had not got any. Pa & I went to Beaver Grove S. House to the independent protective association. Livingston and I worked on privy 2 hours at P.O. of G.T. we had new (illegible) I read (illegible) character of Pitt Sun Dec 31 at church eld. Orcutt preached attend Sunday School Took Hannah to Esther. Esther (illegible) so went to worth meeting Saw Eld James to Henrys
