Must still my years weighed down with care Roll on their weary pace Soon bringing silver to my hair Rude wrinkles to my face Oh! why should loves most ardent flame Stay matched with chilling frost Although the sun may shine the same Now all his ways are lost Even harassed with cloud and [illegible] Love stays but does not live Law regulates the outward form It can no pleasure give Outraged at once by law and hail Then [manoil?] not that I look pale Written upon one of those cold blowing days in February
