September 27th 1918 My Dearest Bess: Well I am finally located at least for 48 hours so I will continue where I left off. We had a most interesting journey through England and Scotland. I can readily understand why those peoples think very highly of their own country. We then spent most of the day in a city in England the opposite from where my father lived I mean direction. We arrived in this city of Paris yesterday morning and will probably move on soon but when of course I do not know. I met two fellows whom I know.
