I do not look for the end of it though for 6 mo. although it may not be so long as that. There are so many interesting things to be seen here at every turn. I want to go out to Versailles some of these days but it is such a long trip that one must take a full day off. I will go out when I can and get some pictures to bring back with me. Every one is anxious for the war to end and get back to the U.S. I heartily agree with them in that regard. McGuire was down and saw [Crane?] the other day. He said
