Don't bother the boys about my insurance. If my allotment comes, save it and if not, Mr. Dewey will take care of it for me this year. And I can send the money to him later. Just keep me posted one way or the other tho but I don't care to have the boys do anything about it. I hope June hasn't been cutting any capers to hurt father, since you won't let him drive her away more. By spring she will be too frisky for anyone if she isn't driven all winter. Be sure and tell me what you are going to do with Lightfoot when she is old enough. I wish we could keep her too but I guess we never could use three horses on that little place unless Farth and I were both there to run it, as we will be when the war is over. Am sorry Joan doesn't give more milk but she'll pick up again in the spring. Was glad to get all the details of the farm. Has the house been painted yet? I wish we could have some of your abundant supply of walnuts and popcorn but war is war and altho we may wish for a thing one day it
