Base Hospital Monday, April 15 My dear mother and father You have no idea how I enjoy your letters and how I read them over and over again. Wasn't it too bad about that neighbor of Alma's and all those men who were drowned. I hope you are planning to keep quite a few chickens. Mrs. Dewey says those last eggs came through without one being broken. She wants to know how much they are so I told her I'd write to you and you can let her know. She will overpay you if you don't look out - I'm sticking in some paper in case you haven't any to write to her on.
