Saving...
it plainly and about 20 miles away is one of those camps for alien Japanese. I guess it's a big farm where they do truck gardening. Yesterday we had two hours drill. The base commander here is a strict disciplenarian so they tell me. Thats the [illegible] farm of animal life I think. It is a nice place I hope they don't make it so tough its unpleasant here. I dont mint in fact I like to see the barracks neat & orderly but there are lots of military rules that are the bunk. I went to the P.X. for the first time yesterday [illegible] is certainly a fine one. It's not nearly stacked as yet but when it is a large department store wont have much on it. There is a barber shop in connection & when I get a chance my hair must be shorne. I am sending a folder home of some of the rights around here you'll have to take the pictures word for it I havent seen any of them but perhaps if Im around for a while Ill get a chance to. Its been cold out here the last few days but the sun has [illegible] brightly. Hope you get some Indian summer back home thats almost the prettiest time of the year. Love Johnny
