Oct. 8, 1942 Pueblo, Colorado Dear Dad and Mom: Another fine sun shiny day cool in the shade but the sun is warm. Tomorrow I am going into town for the first time. I have a twenty four hour pass so I'll go in have a steak, look the town over, go to the football game Ive seen advertised and have a little fun. We are straightening up the barrack for an inspection, everything must be in tip top shape. This being just a new camp thing they are a little extra strict about neatness and cleanliness of the barracks. If things don't suit them they can [illegible] out such errands as extra
