Saving...

Didn't read the Argo and Union until today and it came a couple of days ago. I went on duty Monday at 12 noon and worked steady until 9 Tuesday morning. We had an oil leak on one of the engines which just couldn't seem to be located. When we did find the troule it was a couple of mangled cylinders which necessitated an engine change. We started at six in the morning, removed the engine from the plane changed the accessories, starter, generator, vacuum jump, [full?] jump, gun synchronizers etc from the old engine to the new one and hat it back in the ship. all lines locked up and ready to preflight at 8 A.M. This is somewhat of a record in this squadron and the officers in charge seemed very well pleased. I went to bed about 10 AM and didn't get up until 6 this morning. I didn't sleep all this time but I sure rested. Looked at Pikes Peak this morning and it is shining white most all over, from down below the timber line you can see it has moved. Don't suppose it will e here again for a long time. It looked very pretty this morning the sun shining bright on it surely
