Saving...
and funny. The little man with the big eyes and all. Yesterday I got a letter from Laura Mae Carpenter who had sent it or maybe her folks sponsored the idea. It was very kind of her and all of us in this barracks are enjoying it. If Dad cant locate any one to do the cement work on the side building I'm sure Wallace McIntyre would do it. You remember he's the one who ran the [flat?] farm outside the cow barn door. He lives where the new barn is just east and first place north of Clyde Crandalls I'm sure Dad knows where he lives. He would do a good job too. Our pay day is pushed forward again for a few days more. This makes me mad the orderly room is very lax. Now they are talking about paying us our Oct pay the 31st so if I get paid now for Sept. I'll have lots of money. Had a letter from [Vivian?] this morning and one from you. Just spent my last 15¢ for a pint of ice cream so will fast until we're paid. Won't hurt me any. The hangar we [illegible] to have is growing day by day really quite rapidly for D.S. construction. Hope it gets done before it gets much golder. It froze pretty good again last night but it hasnt snowed here yet. I'll write again tomorrow. Love Johnny
