Nov. 17, 1942 Pueblo, Colo. Dear Dad & Mom: You should see the [errand?] of people we have on the field today or rather down at one end of it. You remember me telling you of the huge pile of lumber that the carpenters had left and all the good stuff there was in it. They are giving it away to the townspeople for kindling and they are out here by the thousands hauling it away. All kinds of rigs trucks and trailers of every description they are all working like nailers trying to get more than the next fellow. Our ship is finally flying again and I guess performing pretty well. Hope it can fly because one
