very clear on the ground but 6000 feet up they couldn't even see the field. There was a very heavy white frost this morning it looked just like snow and is still showing where the sun hasn't hit it. I noticed in the Life magazine two or three weeks ago a very good article about putting a car up for winter. It showed how to care for the upholstering engine and every thing. Don't think now Ill get home on furlough for quite a while. They aren't putting out so many and there are quite a number ahead of me I guess. Im surely glad I saw you when I did. Well its show time, we have to go eat at 11 so we can get out & relieve the other crew at 12- Love Johnny
