[letterhead: United State Army Air Base, Pueblo, Colorado] Thanksgiving Dear Dad & Mom: I must tell you about our fine dinner first of all. We certainly had a great variety and most of it was good. We had fruit cocktail, shrimp cocktail, celery, olives --- [Fri.?] turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy - peas & carrots cauliflower, combination salad rolls, sweet potatoes, fruit cake & ice cream. Im still full a day afterward also they had fruit, candy, nuts and they gave away cigars and cigarettes, they surely went all out. Got your letter today with the cartoons in it about the corporal Ive had a lot of fun with it. Last night I felt kind of punk, was catching a cold so I went to bed early and greased up with Vicks. Oh yes I got a box of cookies from Mrs Morton as a substitute for Thanksgiving dinner. I've been hoarding
