Dec 6, 1942 Tucson, Ariz. Dear Dad & Mom: A grand day sun is shining and its very warm. Wonder of wonders yesterday it rained and was cloudy did some washing in the afternoon and it hung out all night but I expect it is dry by now. I missed seeing young [Kaeppel?] as his outfit pulled out the same day we left Pueblo. Havent heart how long we will be here but not long I dont believe. Havent been very busy but did work yesterday, didnt write last night because I had a bit of dirt in my eye and it was quite aggravated. Went over to the infirmary and had it washed out and some drops put in it and now it feels okay. We havent been issued any passes yet but some of the fellows got off yesterday afternoon to see the Univ. of Arizona and
