Saving...
regular reunion I got a box of cookies from [Plegg?] today, a Sunshine assortment in a tin box. he's a good egg to remember me. Also got a box of chocolates from the Dibbles today & the Union which I let Chas K. have. Austin W. sent me the [Shortham?] World. This is a great field to see all types of aircraft there are, B-24s, B. 17's B. 25's , B. 23's, Cargo ships, pursuits, [trainers?], (basic & advance). The navy has a school down town and use the municipal hangar for training pilots so the sky is usually full of planes. They have all sorts of planes tho, many of them have [illegible] on so look very bulky. We have several big fifteen man gliders here, the first Ive ever seen. They took them way up in the air then cut them loose and they glide & soar around awhile then come slowly down like big birds to land as light as a feather. It looks like they are quite practical for a long time I rather wandered about them.
