I got a nice letter from you in the mornings mail and in tonights I got the letter from the lumber yard with the very best Christmas gift I ever expect to get if I live to be a hundred. Dad I don't know how to began to thank you it seems like such a lot. Im sure that Im the luckiest guy in the whole army to have folks like you are and I realize it more every day. I never was much good at saying things well, but I thank you with every thing Ive got. I have been getting quite a few Christmas cards, our squadron hasnt received theirs yet. hope they do so very soon as I want to send out a few. You always think of quite a few right at the end.
