Dear Dad + Mom: Got your Christmas package yesterday and Like a kid I opened it right up. Thanks a heap for everything its all very nice and surely I can use it handily. I was just out of tooth paste, I always need soap, had two envelopes left, my old underwear was about shot, I have three good pairs and two about shot, so that came in just right, I had one other pair of dress sox the ones the army gives you the lightweight ones get slack around the top and wont stay up. The tailor kit is a dandy the best Ive seen around camp so you can see I am really pleased with it all. I have received lots of cards many from people I wouldnt expect. It makes me feel good that I have so many friends in and around home. The squadron keeps saying their cards will be in tomorrow so Ive kept waiting but if they arent here tomorrow I shall get some at the P.X. they have recently gotten some in. Havent found any time to write the past three days. Tuesday we worked 24 hours and changed shifts so now I work nights from 5:30 PM till 7:00 AM. this will be for a week
