Saving...
So Buck finally had to go. hope he likes it, if he wants to apply himself for awhile there are many places he could fit in and do well. I think he is quite handy if he wants to be. I hope you folks can get along alright with the chores, that Stone Nelson you spoke of once might be okay if her wants to live there. he is kind of a dummie, used to work for Jim Smale and if you remember a few years ago he was in the papers because he was returning from some place he had been working and was held up, beat up and left tied in a corn field. 16, I think would be more faithful with the chores but not as good a roomer as Buckie. I think, I have enough shorts for awhile thanks I dont want too many around as two barracks bags dont hold so much. I dont really need heavy socks down here but if I move where it is cold I'll write for them. It was nice of Mrs. Lynch to invite you folks for Turkey, did you go? or did Aunt Jennie come. I got at least 65 cards and thirteen packages not counting yours (Im afraid your cookies have been lost) got, fruit candy from W & Alta, Cookies from Austin & Elsie, Aunt Jennie, Aunt Cora, Soap from Wengers & Mrs. Lynch. Candy from Graham & S., Dibbles, & Clint Humphreys, Shaving things from the Kays, Graham & S, Stationary from Aunt J. a knife from Adeline & King, box of peanuts from Mrs. Waterbury & a $5 money order from Jim & Irma so you can see I really fared well must write some thank you notes right away. Love Johnny
