Saving...
Belgrade. I think from now on our traveling will be much more difficult but I do not care. Only to get through and come back home is my one and only desire at present. Just as I was leaving Rome I received your letters which were written on board train where you were stalled. They were the first I had received in about 3 weeks so you can imagine they were very welcome. One thing one misses is heat. Coal sels for $52u [ton?] in Italy so it is about a fortune to get warm Paper too is scarce here. I am enclosing some Austrian paper money which although it appears formidable is worth now about 10 cts My paper is finished so I must close Hope, that you are well and Helen also is my constant wish, With Love and a desire to have you in my arms Walter "Hello Helen",
