Saving...
The treatment of the Serbs by the Bulgarians is the worst on record. I am bringing back some copies of actual photographs of their doings. They say that of all the invaders the Germans were the best. [Mackenson?] the German leader was hard on his soldiers for any injustice done to the civilians but the Bulgarian officers took a great delight in seeing how much deviltry they could see done. It has been a place of awful things that is sore and while their was more fighting in France there is certainly more suffering among the civilians here. I have some pictures of the trip being developed and if I do not leave before that time I hope to see them. I left my other films in Rome to be developed hoping some one will bring them up to me in the due course of time.
