Saving...
Mon. 2d. I frequently pray fervently to God to grant me a better disposition than I now have, too often must I suffer from my sullen temper. I abhor it yet I am its fettered victim. O for a change. Tues. 3d. Nothing happened, to my knowledge, worthy of note. I frequently look at my mysterious future and feel like casting loose from all my fond hopes of a useful life. Dark and gloomy forebodings constantly trouble me. Wed. 4. My country looks somewhat like myself, oh, may God grant that it may come out triumphant, through the fiery ordeal which threatens to consume it at present! Thurs. 5. The weather has made a sudden change it is very warm now, it seems more like summer than winter today. Such days as this have a tendency to make the scholars more noisy than usual. Fri. 6. I intended to visit [Camehl's?] this evening but the weather was too unpleasant raining nearly a "blue strea," so I staid at home, feel kind a "blue" all over. Sat. 7. This day was spent in diverse manners. Nothing occurred that would make a lasting impression upon my mind.
