Saving...
Sat. 15 Nothing of importance. I spent my time in writing and reading in the house of Mr. Moss, where I saw Mr. Cornell who has the measles. I attended a protracted meeting at the Center. It is well attended, but not interesting. Sun. 16. Attended meeting at the Center, but was not much benefitted. The weather is pleasant. Mon. 17 I taught school as usual today without meeting with any striking peculiarity. Tues. 18 I neglected to post my journal for some time, and it is difficult to remember all that happened during this time. Wed. 19 Had our last spelling school tonight, it was not very crowded, owing to the deep drifted snow, we had a great time getting to the school-house and a greater one getting home, came very near upsetting our sleigh. I spelled the whole assembly down. Thurs. 20 Mr. Edsell staid with me last night and took his departure this morning to my entire satisfaction, he is an individual, in whom I have vey little confidence. Fri. 21 We had no special exercises today, owing to the preparation that we are making for the last day. I am glad that one week more of school is closed, it gives me a chance now to rest again.
