Saving...
his ankle rather a bad sprain. He hobbles about with the aid of a broom for a crutch. The squadron has a pretty good team made up of both officers and enlisted men we have won from the other squadrons but they got beat last night by the high school team down town. The high school has a crack outfit last years state champions Got your letter marked the 28th today am sure glad the weather has abated somewhat. Enjoyed the letter from the Dibbles I must write to them again. Must write to Dane Lynch too I owe him a letter. hope he can give Buck a good steer as well as the other West Union fellows. I am sorry my air mail letter didnt reach you i thot it might go thru in two days, it only takes about 11 hours by air from here to Dayton Ohio. I sometimes wonder what takes them so long. There was a letter from Bob waiting for me when I go back with a picture of Vivian and one of Dickey and Woofie it it those he took at home Both are good. I expect you have written Mrs Mac as it is getting about Ground Hog day. Wonder if the old fellow will see his shadow this year, hope you dont have 6 weeks more winter like it has been. Just talked to another Iowa fellow he is from North English down south west of Iowa City Love Johnny
