February 26, 1943 Tucson, Ariz. Dear Dad + Mom: Got a letter from you today, a nice long one which I enjoyed. Hope all your ices goes this thawing spell. More rumors today and Pocatello Idaho seems to be the strongest and in about a month. Feb. 28, 1943 Didn't get much written the other night but will try again tonight. Yesterday after working all day my ship needed an engine change about 4 P.M. so that meant work all night. We had pretty good luck had the new engine installed, inspected and running in about eleven hours besides changing a set of spark plugs in another engine. Today we got paid got $85.88 as we didnt get our flying pay, wont get that for another week or so. Ill send a money order home as soon as the rush at the post office dies down a bit. There is always a big mob in there getting money order for a day or two after pay day. I slept the whole blessed day today, usually I cant sleep day times, but it was cool today I didnt
