Dear Dad + Mom: This has been another typical desert day, how the wind and dust blew. They have been grading and gravelling our area and the wind really kicked it up some. They have some good equipment for spreading gravel, gets a lot of area covered in a hurry. They were going to paint the old ship today but the wind and dust blew so hard they didn't get anything done. Painted on the insignia, and the diver boats with rupper preservative. There hasn't been a good show here for several weeks, don't know why but there hasn't been any thing very interesting. We have to get into O D's to see a movie and if you're late getting started you don't get in because you have to stand in line for so long. Did i have money enough to pay my income tax? Hope Mr. [Antis?] figured out the soldiers special deductions. I guess a fellow can't kick about paying it because it takes lots of cash to win a war. That was a nice congratulating letter Dad got from Mr. [Pathlesberger?], I'll bet he got
