Saving...
and got my money order. Had to wait in line even today as there is only one window and it has to accommodate quite a few. How did the car run on its first trip of the season, hope it [wintered?] okay. This spring Ive really had the fever to drive a car. I enjoy driving so much but I guess Ill just conserve my talent along that line and confine it to an occasional ride in a jeep and run the tractor around a bit. I know we all arent getting many auto rides these days. Ill bet Clyde [illegible last name] gets a lot of scornful glances when he drives around in Uncle Johns new car and the Greasy Spoon corner boys say "Old Jim died in the Country home" etc. But I know they will enjoy their money and probably not throw it away. Dont begrudge it to them any but I do think they are mighty lucky. So you got a [illegible] [illegible] after all, is Billy still as round and pudgy as ever or is he growing taller? Im glad you got a [illegible] of [illegible]. Aunt Ethel and [Milan?] Id like to see it. Was getting kind of worried about the [oats?], etc back home, glad to hear they are okay. So Pop is feeling fine again, good you make a fine nurse I know. Well Im going to close for now. Love Johnny
