in just shirt sleeves. Have these new shirts two I bought and one I salvaged must get the shoulder insignia and stripes sewed on them before I come home. Still have [?] stripes on my O.D blouse. I had a letter from Grandma the other day she seems quite blue about something said she still has some of the [?] you sent her but had cleaned up the candy. The wind blew the [?] off the barn and that bothered her as she couldnt find the insurance policy. Ralph plans to go out on the fair circuit again this year and Grandma I thinks wonders what she is going to do. I hope we can go see her when I get home. The wind is blowing a gale now the barracks fairly creaks and it is picking up dust from someplace. It makes me sneeze and snort Im afraid I have just a little tendency toward asthma or something. The front door of our barracks wont stay shut and is open about half the time so it is a struggle to hold this paper down long enough to get anything written on it. Went down yesterday and put in for Per [Dieum?] for my [Sacramento?] trip will be fifteen bucks if I get it some hope I do. I have a hundred hour inspection in the morning so I will turn in early so I can get up fresh as a daisy. Love Johnny
