117 Friendships partying pledge Dear friends I cannot say farewell, Without a pang of heartfelt sorrow; May all good fortune with you dwell, As I journey hence to morrow. These are the wishes of my soul, - I know that dearest friends must sever, The tide of fate we cant control, Yet may our friendship last forever. I know the hearts of all true friends Must feel as yours & mine are feeling; And if a parting tear descends, It is only natures truths revealing True friendship ever must impart, What words, might fain to be repealing; The finer feelings of the heart, Will burst the bonds of false concealing There is a great sustaining power, in the knowledge that we are doing right, we can bear pain if we believe it for some purpose,
