100 lbs. of the Dead sea water contained 46 lbs of salt. The mean an annual depth of rain that falls at the equator if 96 inches. The explosive force of gun powder, close confined, is 6 1/2 tons to the square inch. Water obstructs one half of the perpendicular rays of the sun in 17 ft, & 3/4 in 34 ft, & less than 1000th part reaches the depth of 200 ft, hence the bottom of deep waters are in total darkness. Michael Angelo, famous sculptor was the architect of St. Peters church at Rome; great Bell of Moscow, was cast by order of Queen Ann of Russia, it was 21 ft. high 22 ft in diameter wt. 400,000 lbs.
