June 30, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad, Mom & Grandma: Today was pay day, drew $124.84 had several dollars "statement of charges" to pay for two shirts and three suits of underwear. Hope I can spend part of it for a train ticket to [Iowa?] along the last of the month. Got your good letter and the one from Irma today. Say you really made good mileage on your trip to Hampton the old Heifer must be running pretty good yet, wish I could exercise her a bit. Hope Fuzzy B. is wrong in his prediction of the season. Bought a ticket to the rodeo which is to be held on the 16-17-18 don't know which day I will go but it is to be quite an affair and I'll enjoy seeing the horses & cattle. Some of the fellows in our outfit who come from the range country plan to ride in it. Think I'll go in with the soft ball team to a game tonight, don't need a pass if I go with them. Under the new set up on passes we are only allowed
