Saving...
My coveralls are about to fall off me, got into some battery acid the other day and one leg is almost in shreds. We cant get new ones and I dont think Washingonts army at Valley Forge was much more ragged than we are. Does Grandma sleep up stairs now or is she still on the davenport. Tell her my bed sure sleeps good if she wants that room. So you had fresh fish, cant think of very many times when we have had it. They might have left the [hagel?] bay at home for all the good theyve done in the Army. Seems as tho theyve both been in the hospital most all the time Glad we have good [corn?] [illegible] on my place hope it finishes and will and makes a good crop. We can sure use another crop. Hope I get home to see it Must close for tonight Love Johnny
