Saving...
July 17, 1943 Pacatello, Idaho Dear Dad, Mom, & Grandma: Just got up in time for supper tonight. Had two busy days, changed an engine and had a 100 hr inspection on my shift and then helped out on another 100 hr inspection one of the other shifts had. Only got four hours sleep in forty eight so when I got in at 6 this morning I really hit the hay and didn't wake up till late. My engine change and inspection was good, tho I had the bad luck to have three plugs broken off in one engine finally got them out and its flying fine. Believe I'll go to the rodeo tomorrow night fellows who went last night said it was good. One G.I. got his arm broken riding a Brahma bull, must have been out of practice. Tomorrow should be the big day. Was supposed to march in the Saturday morning review this morning but was just too tired. Think I'll be excused but if not I'll have to take whatever they dish out for me.
