Got a letter and the papers from you today. So Grandma doesnt like to hear me called Johnny. Ive gotten so used to it that anything else sounds funny to me. Even in the army it's Johnny so I guess its stuck on me. Henry [Nehrings?] farm sold rather well, it was such a nice place tho I believe I'd have kept it Dane Lynch always kind of wanted that I would think would have been a nice place for a gentleman farmer. Got yours and grandmas letter yesterday, havent guessed yet what you didnt like Grandman, maybe the seperator jouse wasnt too clean, I used to scrub it faithfully when I was there alone. Must be Miller from Elgin that is fixing the chimneys, he is a good brick layer and mason. See where West Union is getting a new plumber we can sure use one havent had one in years. Had a very nice evening last night swell meal, beef roast, mashed potatoes + gravy new peas, 24 hr salad, green apple pie all very well cooked. Went to a band concert and then a show from there. Will close for tonight and shower then turn in Love Johnny
