Sept. 16, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dead Dad, Mom + Grandma: Another typical Idaho day wind blew all day long sometimes a gale and at times not so bad. The barracks is drifted full of dust, around an army camp where the wind sure picks up a lot. Work on the ship is progressing pretty well, expect it will be flying again tomorrow. Complied with a couple of tech orders today, also had a bunch of inspections from the Air Force - go over the ship from propellers to rudder, inside and out. Was pleased they didn't find much wrong and they said the ship showed good maintenance. Two Captains a couple of Lieutenants and a warrant Officer so they were well rated bunch. Glad your weather has changed for the better, good warm days is what you need to ripen that corn. Hope we do
