Saving...
ARMY AIR BASE POCATELLO, IDAHO Sept. 30, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad, Mom & Grandma: Im not very busy this afternoon so Ill try and write a bit while Im out here on the line. My ship is loaned to another squadron for an overwater mission so it wont be back until after supper. However someone has to stand by just in case it should come back early. We got paid today for which the G. I's are very grateful. The money I had loaned out came back so Im sending home a couple of money orders. Want to save that hundred a month as long as I can. I'm sure it will come handy when I get out and will do things now that I want it to. Surely hope we can get lime spread on the farm this fall as I believe it would pay good dividends. This is the last day it is permissible to wear khaki clothes from now on it is strictly O.D.'s. Just today got mine back
